Klipt ("we", "our", "the app") is a voice chat clipping tool consisting of a Windows desktop application and an iOS companion app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data Klipt collects, which is essentially nothing.
Klipt does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:
We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information. We do not collect analytics, usage data, or crash reports. We do not use cookies or tracking technologies. We do not collect device identifiers or location data. We do not transmit any data to external servers.
Audio clips you record with Klipt are stored locally on your Windows PC in a folder you choose. Audio data never leaves your local network. The iOS app does not store any audio — it sends commands to your PC over your local Wi-Fi network, and all recordings are saved on the PC only.
The iOS app connects to the Klipt desktop app over your local Wi-Fi network using WebSocket. This connection is direct between your phone and your PC. No data is routed through any external server. The connection only works when both devices are on the same network.
The iOS app requests camera access solely to scan a QR code displayed by the desktop app for pairing. No photos or video are captured, stored, or transmitted.
Klipt does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.
Klipt does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
If we ever update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date.
